Hydro-Vac Trailer, Gas

Wachs Hydro-Vac Trailer is a safe, non-destructive and cost-effective machine for precise utility excavation that requires less backfill and restoration. The Hydro-Vac trailer prevents underground damage, while offering a more accurate way to excavate soil and locate underground utilities. Powered by a powerful Kohler 27 HP gasoline engine, the trailer comes with a Pintle hook for connection to a medium duty pickup or larger truck. Built off Wachs Standard Builder Trailer platform, it can be configured just the way you want it, built exactly to fit your needs and budget. Its future upgrade path means you can order what you need today, knowing that you can upgrade the trailer tomorrow. The Standard Builder allows for an ala carte selection of our standard valve maintenance modules to be installed onto our heavy duty trailer. The Builder platform’s upgrade path offers maximum versatility – for example, configure a Hydro-Vac trailer with hydraulics today, add a ERV-750 Valve Exerciser later. A step up in power, capacity and size from the smaller Trav-L-Vac 300, the Hydro-Vac trailer includes a powerful vacuum that generates 500 CFM at 11in Hg. It includes a large, 250 gallon spoils tank that features our exclusive hydraulic powered slide, tilt, and dump system with power latching door, here in a rear dump configuration. This power spoils tank features a twin cylinder, electric over hydraulic dump system that incorporates a slide and tilt system that moves the tank out before tilting to clear for dumping, then lifts to 55 degrees to discharge debris. Also driven from the common power train is a 2.5 gpm @ 3000 psi pressure washer system with 3 gallon anti-freeze tank and 95 gallon vertical water tank. Includes 2-1/2in, 1-1/4in & 7/8” suction wands, short & long wash-down guns, 20ft suction hose and 50ft retractable hose reel. Note a valve exerciser is not included with the Hydro-Vac trailer, it features vacuum, power spoils tank and power wash units only. Hydro-Vac Skid, Diesel

Wachs Hydro-Vac Skid, Diesel includes all components pre-assembled to a steel "skid" that can be quickly bolted down to your flatbed truck. This unit is powered by a Tier 4F compliant, Kubota 1.1L, I-3 4-stroke, liquid cooled, IDI diesel engine that provides ample power for all contained functions. Built off Wachs Standard Builder Skid platform, it can be configured just the way you want it, built exactly to fit your needs and budget. Its future upgrade path means you can order what you need today, knowing that you can upgrade it tomorrow. The Standard Builder allows for an ala carte selection of our standard valve maintenance modules to be installed onto our heavy duty steel skid. The Builder platform’s upgrade path offers maximum versatility – for example, configure a Hydro-Vac trailer with hydraulics today, add a ERV-750 Valve Exerciser later. Wachs skid systems pre-install and pre-wire all the system components to a metal skid, ready to run, which only requires a few bolts to mount it to the truck flatbed, eliminating much of the labor expense. The skid that the equipment mounts to consists of 3” tall formed and welded frame with integrated 8” full length fork slot tubes. ERV-750 Extended Reach Valve Exerciser – Low Stack Version

Wachs ERV-750 Extended Reach Valve exerciser is the first choice of water system operators everywhere. The ERV-750 is named for the 750 ft/ lbs (1015 Nm) of torque it delivers, torque it can deliver even when fully extended. It gives the power you expect with the reach you need, with a rotating and extendable arm that reaches out to a full 13ft (3.96m). The ERV-750 pivots to reach to curbside valve boxes or hydrants. It uses dual hydraulic locking disc brakes with push button release that’s designed to hold the full torque force of the machine while operating. Built to last, the ERV-750 arm is constructed with a strong 3in square steel box section to resist twisting forces. Available as a standalone option, it’s the ideal valve exerciser for water organizations of all sizes. The ERV-750 Low Stack model is ideal for mounting to trailers, skids, and flatbed trucks. TM-7 Plus Mounted Valve Exerciser

When you need the Mack Daddy of valve exercisers, step up to Wachs TM-7 Plus. It’s designed to free and exercise the larger or older valves often found in bigger or more established cities. Difficult or impossible to operate when the need arises, simply applying brute force on these valves trying to exercise or free them up can break or damage the valve stem, leaving costly replacement as the only option. For that reason you need more than just power, you also need control and intelligence, which is exactly what the TM-7 Plus offers. Wachs TM-7 Plus automatically conforms to the AWWA Valve Exercising Standard, allowing a single operator to exercise and rehabilitate these stubborn valves, even ones you may already have scheduled for replacement. If it’s not broken the TM-7 will likely turn it without damaging it. Featuring a precision hydraulic drive system, the TM-7 Plus uses a onboard computer and advanced programming as its primary means for controlling torque and direction during operation; however as a backup, the Plus adds manual control of torque, direction of rotation and counts. Its design places the hydraulic motor and drive gear on a smooth, ball bearing equipped, lockable slide that offers compact dimensions with increased energy transfer. Pow-R-Drive 2 Handheld Valve Exerciser
he Wachs Pow-R-Drive 2 ("Power-Drive 2") or P-2 is a handheld valve turner/valve exerciser engineered for maintaining and operating critical valves. This portable and rugged workhorse is designed for daily use. Water utilities, municipal water services, and fire departments use the P-2 on valves and hydrants with standard operator nuts and non-rising-stem handwheels (with an optional adapter). Why Pow-R-Drive 2?

RS-2 Handheld Valve Exerciser

Wachs Utility Products RS-2 handheld valve exerciser is the perfect tool for operating or exercising handwheel and rising stem valves. Utilizing a large, open 4in (102mm) hub design, it’s designed to accommodate most varieties of rising stems through the hub opening. The RS-2 offers up to 800 ft/lbs of torque depending on drive type, with a maximum of 55 rpm for fast, reliable opening and closing of water, wastewater and natural gas valves in the field. The RS-2 handheld valve exerciser, like our P-2 handheld, is designed with operator health in mind, helping to prevent arm and back injuries associated with manually turning large, stubborn or frozen valves. Portable for everyday use, the RS-2 is available in your choice of electric, hydraulic or pneumatic drive. It’s extremely solid build quality means years of trouble free, reliable operation. Wachs RS-2 offers a range of adapters and accessories to suit most applications, including PIV (Post Indicator Valves). Diamond Wire Guillotine® 208 Pipe Saw

Wachs DW Guillotine® 208 Diamond Wire pipe saw is a faster and safer method of cutting 2 inch to 8 inch (DN50-200) pipe including steel, ductile, cast iron, concrete (CA), poly, PVC and mixed media. Secured to the pipe, the DWG 208 utilizes a fully enclosed, high speed diamond infused cutting wire that cuts quickly and precisely. Its compact design features stainless steel construction, with a collapsible, folding arm design that allows it to be easily stored and transported. Every DWG 208 saw comes complete with a custom carrier for protection, plus a carrier mounted water tank and spray lubricant. These saws do not bind like traditional saws, eliminating the kickback dangers associated with gasoline powered handheld chain saws or abrasive wheel devices that can occur from pipe compression or shifting. The DWG 208 is hydraulically powered using a sealed loop that can run in water, eliminating the danger of gas fumes collecting when working down in the ground. Apart from the cutting area, the diamond wire is fully enclosed within the saw for safety. The diamond wire is designed to slightly rotate radially while cutting, allowing all the diamond elements to come into contact with the workpiece. Due to the longevity of the diamond cutting wire Wachs DW series saws feature one of the lowest costs per cut in the industry, and a much lower cost of consumables over the life of the machine than other cutting devices.
